The power of flowers.

flower power

This summer's flowers are nothing like I would have hoped, but I'll take what I can get. With the massive amounts of rain and chilly temps, the summer has been unkind to my gardens. Hopefully August will dry out and they will fill out.

bug buffet

bugs

With the explosion of mosquitos this summer after the rain/monsoon season, going out in the yard at dusk is a hazard. I was grilling, so the kids were out for about 10 minutes. When I looked over at Audrey, she had 10 bites on her head and neck. She was totally swollen. a bug buffet! poor baby.

Rooney BBQ

7/25

While Brian and Annette were up for Nicole's wedding, David and Pat threw a cookout for the family. It was a great opportunity for everone to visit and be ultra casual. This was our first time seeing Nana the Great up from Florida, since we missed the reunion. And since the kids were not attending the wedding, it was great for them to get to see everyone.

Family Fun at the rainbow park

rainbow fun

Since the rainbow park was the best fun Caleb had ever had, we decided to take Daddy with us. We started at the playground and then checked out the new Library in Lunenburg. As the two go hand in hand, we stopped by Cherry Hill on our way back home. It was crash time.

What does your breakfast cereal say to you??? ha ha ha

Shoes, shoes, shoes.

Kids love big shoes. Not sure if my kids like them more than the average, but they do surely love them. I wonder where they get that affinity?

shoes are fun

Prayers

Sawyer loves to sing, all the time. This is one of his parayers that he sings. As all of his prayers start, God loves Bobby. long story if you haven't heard it.

Baking day

baking day

Caleb receives the Highlights magazine and is excited to make all the recipes in them. On this day, we had some catching up to do. We started the early morning with fancy french toast, then on to lemon cake (not very good), then cooked up these cute little bear breads. It was a lot of fun. oh, and some popcicles.

Bowl for FREEEEEEE

bowl

This summer there is a bowl for free program that we tried out last week. It is great. they have it all over the country. Kids can bowl 2 games a day for every single day of the summer. there is a family pass that we bought for 4 adults for 24$. Gets the same 2 games every day. It is amazing. The kids love to bowl... sort of. Caleb likes to bowl, Sawyer and Audrey love to mess around in the bowling alley :)

Summah Fun

summer fun

Summer is the best. Like one big party. Sprinklers, pools.... just the way it should be.

So Campy

camp fun

I took the kiddos up to the camp for a visit with Nana. It was a nice, laid back day. Splashing in the water, feeding the ducks, lunching, etc. The kids really enjoyed the water.

Pink Yummy-nade

lemonade

These two are fools. And these pics solidify this. Here's the story: I was upstairs working on solving a mini- crisis with Caleb. When I got downstairs, this is what I found. Sawyer and Audrey got into the fridge and pulled out a brand new pitcher of pink lemonade (yummy-nade, like Sawyer says it). I came into the kitchen to find Audrey with the giant half-empty pitcher up to her mouth and Sawyer sucking up the LAKE of lemonade off the floor. Neither of them were phased by my yelling and praying aloud. And as a true mother of three, as I reached for the camera, Audrey was kind enough to share the pitcher with Sawyer. And only when I removed them from the kitchen did they give up the drink buffet. Fools!

Davis Farm playtime

Davis

On Kaylah and Sydney's actual birthday we went to Davis farmland. The Andersons, Creavens and Carrs. Lots of looking at animals, playing on the the playgrounds and getting soaked at the water park. Always a blast.

Build it for Isabelle

build it for Isabelle

Isabelle turned 5 and celebrated at Build a Bear. Though it took certain members of my young crew a while to warm up, everyone had a great time. Each child got to creat their own 'pet' and then was treated to dinner and icecream. Audrey made a kitty, Saweyer a puppy and Caleb a bunny. It was nice to get together. We don't do it enough.

Kaylah and Sydney turn One!

twins' bday

The girls turn one with a great big bash. The weather was perfect and the company was great. The girls did so well. Very social and rolled with all the excitement.

July bits

just fun

Just a few fun pics from the Creaven's and here at home. Michelle and Glenn were setting up for the girls' birthday party, so we tested out the equipment :)
There are a couple dance party pics with Ashley and a few from poolside.

Motorcycle Mama

This girl is just too dang cute. She's my motorcycle Mama!

Rainbow Park & Cherry Hill Icecream

rainbow park

Caleb said a few days later, "That was the best day of my whole life". This was the first time that I had brought the kids to this park. This was a park that I used to visit while babysiting in highschool, but had not been to in years. It was totally redone a few years ago. The new park is very toddler friendly, which is a plus, and we were in good company. We went with the Anderson's and ate a picnic lunch right there. Then we were off to Cherry Hill icecream for the 'cherry' on the sundae!

RA Reunion

ra reunion

Years and years, and 5 kids later, we got back together. Well, a few of us anyway. Work and family obligations held up the others. Phil was in Ma visiting family and it was a perfect excuse to get together for a meet and greet. It was really nice to catch up, and the weather even cooperated. Good food, good kids and great catching up. Unfortunately, the group shots are so dark. Phil was here with Jason and dog Roxy. Jen came with her three little ones; Arthur, Robin and Maggie. Heather came with James and Grace. And of course my crew was here (Audrey was napping for group shots).

4th of July

The fourth

The fourth of July was laid back. The boys slept over Titi and CUG's house the night before and Jeremy had stayed at work. So the original plan was to go to the parade, but since when Audrey and I got went to get the boys they were having too much fun to leave. So we hung out there for a bit and then went home for a rest. Then on to Ashburnham for he annual cookout and fireworks. Audrey found the chocolate dip to be the best part. Though Caleb watched the fireworks from behind the trees, inside the van, they were his favorite part.

One of the few hot days of the summer. We went to the park with the Johnson's and a couple of the Andersons. The kids love getting together. This was the day that Sawyer just decided to drink out of some random sippy cup. Nasty! We had our own drinks, but for some reason he thought he could just share. This kid has no concept some times. Good thing we don't drink alcohol. He'd totally be drunk. He shares anything he can get his hands on.
