Coggshall Park

Coggshall park

Last week I took the boys to Coggshall Park. This is actually a park right on our street but this is the first time we've gone there this year. There are lots and lots of birds. From swans to Canadian geese to ducks and even seagulls. We thought we'd throw a slice or two of bread. We had no idea what we were in for. Once the first crumb was tossed the gulls alerted everyone else and we were swamped. Ever see the movie Birds? Scary. I don't think Caleb knew anything different but I hightailed it out of there. The Canadian Geese are fearless and they hiss. So we moved to another area and had some better luck. It was crazy.
There are also some giant rocks and trees to climb on. Caleb really likes to climb and explore. So we spent a bit of time on the rocks before heading home.
There are also a few odds and ends photos in this batch. Kiddos.

We had a little family dinner and dessert for Daddy and Papa Dave's Birthdays (the 17th and 18th). It's always nice to get together. We're squeezing every last drop out of the summer that we can.

Two Fairs

We had a whirlwind day of Two fairs in one day. We went to the Leominster town fair in the morning and the Ashburnham fair at St. Dennis Church in the afternoon. It was a blast. The kids were worn out by the end- which is always the goal. Caleb played games, went on rides, painted a pumpkin and ate fair food. We all had fun. Bounce houses, raffles and all.

Jeremy, Caleb and I spent some time painting. The canvases came out great. painting with a 2yr old is a fun time. If you're in the right frame of mind. Caleb knows his colors but these will hopefully help him put the words with it. And they add a great splash of color to the wall.

6th Month Check-up

Sawyer had his 6 month check-up and is still off the charts. He weighs 20 lbs 10 oz. and is 28 inches long. For some comparison, at one year, Caleb weighed 20 lbs 1 oz. and was 29 1/2 inches. So, as you all knew, we have a big boy on our hands. All in all, healthy and doing well. Posted by Picasa

VHB for the Day

The boys had an outing at VHB today with Grandma Janis and her friends. Mommy had to go to a meeting at work which gave the boys a couple of hours with the gals. From the sounds of it, the boys were well behaved and provided some good entertainment. Always nice to hear. They were on their best behavior.
Thanks for watching them. I really appreciate it.

September So Far- 10 Days

September so far has been lots of fun. We're really enjoying the end of summer. We went to the Sterling Fair over the weekend with Michelle and Glenn and the kids had a blast. We all did. A real New England fair with animals, games and fried food. We also have some photos of the boys reading and playing in the playroom. Sawyer has learned to sit up all on his own. And is much happier for it. He has never liked laying down, so this is a whole new independence for him. He is really growing up so fast. Right before our eyes.

We hope you enjoy these boys as much as we do. And the beauty is that you don't have to enjoy them at 3AM. See how easy you have it.
Please don't forget to leave comments so that we can actually see that people look at the site. We'd love to hear from you.

Labor Day

As Murphy's Law states, the weather was great the day we drove Grandma and Don back to the airport. So we took our time getting home. We stopped at Purgatory Chasm on RT 146. This is a great state park with huge rocks(as you'll see). We only stayed for a bit to stretch the legs, but we really think it will be tons of fun next summer and as the kids get older. Then we stopped at Kimball Farm for lunch and a visit with the Winslows. Unfortunately by them time I thought to get out the camera, they were in line for dessert, so I only have pictures of our clan. But Everyone is doing great.

Visit Photos

These are the photos from our visit with Alabama Grandma and Don. It was great having them visit. They were able to meet Sawyer for the first time and see Caleb as a big boy. No more baby face. Unfortunately, we didn't have the best weather, but it made for great kid visit time. We had fun.
