Today we went to a benefit for our next door neighbor's grandson, James. James is 5 and was diagnosed with Leukemia when he was 10 months old. For the next two years he battled the cancer and won. Now, he is 5 and the cancer has returned. He is scheduled for a bone marrow transplant at the end of September.
The event was put on by James' family and the Andrew's Helping Hands foundation. It seemed to be a great success. There were tons of people there. It's always great to see people coming together to help each other.
The event had a Bone Marrow Drive on site. We all signed up. It's very easy to do and could some day save a life.

Our prayers go out to James and his family. He has beat this once, we know he can do it again.
